  • The router actually has two IP numbers.  From the Internet or the WAN, the router is known as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.  However, from the inside, the router can be accessed as the WAN and the LAN (
  • You cannot access LAN IP numbers from the Internet (WAN).
  • In order to direct web, FTP, and email to the server, the router must have port forwarding enabled so those requests go to the IP number of the server.
  • To add more ethernet ports, you can "Daisy Chain" more additional hubs/switches by connecting the uplink port of the hub/switch to one of the ports on the router.
