Updates: November 2003

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!  I love this time of the year, the nights get a bit crisper, the city lights up with decorations, and college football season gets exciting!  Hope you guys got the chance to have a great meal with your family and loved ones.

This week I got a new Step-by-Step guide for you: CPU Usage Meter Using Task Manager

This article shows you how to use Task Manager as a CPU meter in your system tray.  It's a very nifty little trick, even if I do say so myself!

I also made corrections and clarifications in Installing Perl (ActivePerl) on a Windows Webserver.  One of the screen shots was incorrect and the sample test scripts weren't working correctly.  It's all fixed now.

It's been a crazy few months.  I had a conference in New Orleans for a Society for Neuroscience meeting.  It was huge.  There were over 28,000 neuroscientists from all over the world at this conference.  It was a 6 day trip full of lectures and poster sessions.  But don't worry, there was plenty of fun to be had.  It was New Orleans after all, and our hotel happened to be in the middle of Bourbon Street!  It was a great trip.  Right after this trip, I went to Michigan for a friends wedding.  It was a real joy to share that occasion with everyone.  Michigan sure is cold for a Southern California dude!

I put up a new article: How to Secure Your Wireless Network

I got a few more articles in the pipeline that should be up in a few weeks.

How about those USC Trojans?  Yesterday I went to the USC/UCLA game where USC won 47-22.  At one point, the score was 40-2.  The only reason the score looks sorta respectable (if even) is because Pete Carroll called off the dogs in the 3rd quarter.  5 more years!  It's all in good fun.

Hopefully, USC will get the chance to play Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl for the National Championship come January 4, 2004.
